This week I’ve been talking about the three pulls in the snatch and clean. I introduced lesser known terminology like barbell whip, low-hang, hang, high-hang, power position, diamond stance, and drop squats.
But in all reality, the olympic lifts don’t need to be that complicated. All you need to do is think about jumping on top of a tall box. The same mechanics apply: slow is fast, knees out/shoulders over and jump/drop.
In today’s video, I review the mechanics of the snatch and clean & jerk by talking about box jumps. This should simplify the technical lifts significantly.
