Since January 2016, we switched over to a software tool that would allow us to track the most important metrics in your pursuit of health. These two metrics are: # of Workouts and Personal Records (PRs).
# of Workouts is your quantity indicator that measures consistency. Without consistency, you will never reach your goals. Your first step when trying to lose weight or build muscle is to become the type of person that never misses two days of exercise in a row.
PR’s are your quality indicator that measures progress. Without progress, you also will never reach your goals. Showing up to the gym just to sweat or get your steps in has no objective measurement on you becoming healthier. Your workouts must have scoring components that make them observable, measureable, and repeatable.
The healthiest athletes we have at RxFIT exercise at least 25 times every month. They also post regular PR’s, sometimes up to four times a month!
Last week I interviewed a dozen of these athletes and gathered best practices from each of them. This week, I’m going to share with you what they do in order to consistently progress in their pursuit of health.
