Clean & Jerk Video Series

Olympic weightlifting athletes dedicate their entire lives to mastering two lifts: the clean & jerk and snatch. Because today’s workout includes clean & jerks, I thought that I would put together a video series that went beyond the beginner’s level.

But for the more experienced athlete, the tiniest of details can make the biggest difference in continuing to make gains in this lift over time.

Coaches Jacob Martin and Matt Welch dissect this lift into three videos below. They will then walk you through some accessory movements to help you in training this olympic lift.

Every 45-seconds, perform…
6 Clean & Jerks (115/80) x 5 sets
-Rest 45 seconds and switch the weight-
5 Clean & Jerks (135/95) x 5 sets
-Rest 45 seconds and switch the weight-
4 Clean & Jerks (155/110) x 5 sets
Then…
Perform a max Clean & Jerk in 8-minutes.
