Novice athletes tend to have a heavier power snatch than a squat snatch. This is due to the unfamiliarity of squatting with a load overhead. But once the athlete becomes more comfortable with the overhead squat, the squat snatch should become a heavier number than the power snatch.
But what if it doesn’t?
The snatch balance is an awesome accessory to remedy this problem. Not only does it teach fast arms and fast feet, but it also will cement in muscle memory where the bar needs to land every time.
In this video, I review the snatch balance, heaving snatch balance, and drop snatch.
