Just Show Up to Practice

 

Today is the big day.

 

Today is the day that you decide that you will no longer settle for mediocrity and instead, strive for excellence.

 

Today is the day where you wake up and look at your reflection in the mirror and say, “I have fat on my body, but I am not fat.”

 

You can say that because someone who’s fat allows the fat-person’s voice in their head to dictate decision-making.  But someone who has an excess amount of fat on their body, but is fit mentally, is going to make progress.

 

The latter is you. Let’s do this. It’s time.

 

Takeaway

 

This is the first time since high school that you’ve had a coach really care about your performance. I’m here for you — every step of the way. I’m going to build you up when you feel broken along the journey. And I’m going to break you down when you get arrogant.

 

Why?

 

Because that’s what good coaches do.

 

Consistency is king. Just show up. In high school, if it was a hard day at school you still showed up to practice.

 

That’s what I’m asking you to do again. Just show up to practice.

 

Let’s do this, together.
