NUTRITION

When your nutrition is off it can negatively impact your sleep, your stress management, your mental clarity, mood, and your athletic performance. This is what makes this part so critical.
Many people get paralysis by analysis when they get to thinking about nutrition.
Let’s think:
We know what sleep is.
We know what relaxes us and what stresses us out.
But how well do we know nutrition?
-How much should I eat?
-When?
-Should I do Keto? Is meat bad for me?
-If I eat after 6pm does it all turn in to fat?
INSERT: Anxiety and lack of action because we simply don’t know!!
It is much more simple than that:
“Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat.”-Glassman
PART 1: Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and sugar.
MEANING: Eat natural foods. Try to keep your processed foods as low as possible. Good way to do this is to try to get 800g of fruit and/or veggies every day.
Part 2: Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat.
MEANING: Caloric deficit = weight loss Caloric Surplus = weight gain. Weight loss and weight gain are 100% dependent on your goals. You have to consider how you have been eating, what you are hoping to achieve, how quickly, and you have to factor in your activity levels.
How much is enough, too much, or too little how can you develop consistency in healthy habits, what is BEST for YOU?
