In August of this year, many universities across the country opened back up for school. Most, if not all, have adopted a hybrid approach to learning by using both online and in-person channels to deliver instruction.
This pandemic has taught me that RxFIT isn’t unique because of our equipment or workouts; but instead, we’re unique because of our coaching. In fact, I wouldn’t even describe us as a gym anymore — we’re purely a coaching business with access to a gym.
In many regards, we are more like a University than I would have ever previously imagined. And part of a University experience is to assist individuals in learning (1) what is important to them, and (2) in a manner that is most effective to them.
Hence the RxFIT Vision: To create a world where individuals reach their health goals because they know exactly what to do and how to do it.
A Better Future
In harmony with this thought, BYU’s President said last month to faculty: “If all we do in a classroom setting is deliver a pre-scripted lecture, we must now surely ask ourselves if we need to meet in person for that purpose. Or, if there is something else that can be done in what we know realize is extremely precious, and limited, and valuable face-to-face interaction.”
I’ve now been asking myself and our coaches that same question:
If all we do in a class setting is deliver a pre-scripted workout plan, we must now surely ask ourselves if we need to meet in person for that purpose.
Or, is there something else that can be done in what we know realize is extremely precious, and limited, and valuable face-to-face interaction?
Don’t misunderstand — I’m not saying that we will pivot to an online delivery for our primary source of coaching. But I need to (and will) improve the channels in which we deliver you results. And this is exciting.
In January of 2021, expect more custom options for your fitness. Expect the delivery of our in-person coaching to be better than ever before. Expect to bring your friends and family members along with you.
Personal Training, one-on-one nutrition coaching, and semi-private programs delivered both in-person and remotely will be the primary vehicles in which we will deliver you results. Group classes will be improved, but will now be part of your “homework” in between one-on-one or small group sessions with your coach.
Takeaway
By January of 2021, I believe that we will have all of these details figured out.
But for now, know that we are working hard at further tailoring RxFIT to fit your individual needs. I want you to reach more goals. This will be how RxFIT assists you in both the what and the how.
Software and online technology will help us “connect more effectively with [you] in ways that enhance and deepen [your] understanding of the subjects that we are [coaching].”
