Which Lifters Should I Buy?

Lifting shoes are flat and allow for little to no flex at all–except at the toes. Because these are made to only lift weights in, they are actually quite uncomfortable to walk around in. If you’ve ever worn a pair of lifters, you would understand why it’s funny to occasionally spot someone in public sporting them around as a dress shoe.

Yesterday, I wrote about when you should wear these shoes and why. Today, I want to address which of the top weightlifting shoes I would recommend buying.

For a comprehensive summary of the top eight weightlifting shoes, along with their benefits, I would read this article from our friends over at BarBend. If you’re pressed for time, however, here are my top three recommendations:

  1. Reebok Legacy Lifter II
  2. Nike Romaleo
  3. Adidas AdiPower II

In the picture below, I screenshotted the detailed recommendations of Jake Boly–the author of the blog article hyperlinked above.
